I had an excellent experience with Der Küchenmarkt Düsseldorf! From start to finish, the team was incredibly attentive, communicative, and patient, ensuring that every detail matched our vision. Overall: absolutely terrible service, endless delays, broken promises, poor installation, and zero accountability. We chose this studio because they offered service in English and they have good Google reviews, but our experience was completely different. We regretted our decision many times. 1. Kitchen planning This was the only positive part. Planning went well: they were friendly and considered our requirements. On March 20th we signed a contract and paid, including an extra €250 for express delivery and installation promised by end of April. 2. Scheduling installation After payment they became unresponsive. After taking measurements, we heard nothing for weeks. Emails and calls were ignored. We even had to visit their office in person, in our free-of-work time on Saturday, where they admitted seeing our emails but said they were too busy to answer. On April 26th we were told delays were due to parking approval. They assured us delivery by end of May, but gave no updates. At the end of May, only after we sent a registered letter warning of legal action did they finally call and set an installation date for June 24th. 3. Installation This was very unpleasant. They promised it will be done in 1 day, but it took 3. Workers were always late: first appointment was at 10 AM, they arrived at noon. On the second day, the appointment was agreed at 2 PM. At 3 PM they were still not at our place. We had to call them and ask where they were. Their answer was that they would come at 5 PM. They arrived around 7 PM when we were already not expecting them and worked until 11:30 PM. We find this simply unacceptable because we couldn’t plan our day properly and basically just had to wait for them all day long without any information about the delays. The work was rushed, hectic, and careless. They didn’t cover any surfaces, leaving damage to our apartment floor and the new kitchen. They also left construction waste for us to clean. By day 3 the kitchen was “finished” but with major defects. On day 1 we were told they had ordered the wrong stove. We were promised the correct one would arrive the next week, but instead they installed a temporary used stove without a vent hood, which could damage the cabinets. Of course correct stove wasn’t delivered and installed as promised. 4. Repairs On July 1st we sent them a detailed list of defects with photos and asked for a repair plan, delivery of the correct stove, and a refund of the €250 express delivery fee. Again, no response. Even after another registered letter we heard nothing. Only after another email threatening legal action did they reply, on July 29th, promising a repair appointment “within the next week.” Today is September 2nd and we still have no appointment, no repairs, no stove, and no refund. After more than 5 months we have: * A kitchen installed with major defects * The stove we paid for still missing (we have a temporary one without a vent hood) * No information on when defects will be repaired * No refund for the express service never provided * After endless attempts to resolve this situation without any further escalation we decided to contact a lawyer seeking for legal assistance
